What is a differential protection system?

These systems use current transformers to continuously
measure the current entering and leaving a specific zone or piece of equipment. If there is an
imbalance in current, it could indicate the presence of a ground fault. When such an imbalance
is detected, the system triggers protective actions to isolate the fault and prevent its escalation.
