What is a hydraulic decoupler?

A hydraulic decoupler separates the primary (equipment) loop from the secondary (distribution) loop, in a primary / secondary hydroponic system. This setup allows each loop to operate independently, so that fluctuations in the building’s demand do not affect the steady flow of water through the primary loop.
