C.diff is a germ or bacterium that causes diarrhea and colitis. C.diff can affect anyone and often occurs when taking antibiotics or not long after you’ve finished. It is very contagious and can be life threatning. Only bleach products and acceleated hydrogen peroxixe products disinfect surfaces containmenated with the bacteria. C. diff spores can survive on inanimate surfaces for up to 5 months.
