A bedpan washer is a spray nozzle attached to the toilet. They are unique to health care because they are used to rinse reusable bedpans for patients. The human waste can easily and safetly be rinsed from the bed pan and flushed down the toilet. These can help with infection control as staff do not have to handle waste directly to wash the bedpan when using a bedpan washer.
