Risk levels in an ILSM assessment are assigned based on the severity of the deficiency: Level 1: Minimal issues, such as a small penetration in a fire barrier or a fire door that doesn’t latch, that can be corrected within 24 hours. Level 2: More significant issues, such as partially blocked exit pathways or construction activities, that are not corrected within 24 hours. Level 3: Major issues, such as completely blocked egress paths or impaired fire suppression systems for up to 3 months. Level 4: Long-term impairments (more than 3 months) to fire alarms or suppression systems, which require the most stringent interim measures.
