A condensate return station is a system that collects the water left over after steam cools down—called steam condensate—and pumps it back to the deaerator tank, not directly to the boiler. The deaerator tank removes air and prepares the water before it’s sent to the steam boiler.
In hospitals, condensate return stations help the steam system work more efficiently and reliably by recycling steam after its been used, which reduces energy consumption.
